David Veasy

David Veasy is the Sr. Product Manager – Construction Autonomy for John Deere. In this role, he is responsible for deeply understanding the challenges construction customers face and applying the latest in self-driving and remote-control technology to ease those challenges. Prior to this role, David spent three years managing the Construction Division’s software test organization and nine years supporting the electrical hardware and systems design on the Motor Grader product line. During his time in Motor Graders, he was the lead engineer on the John Deere SmartGrade Motor Grader; the industry’s first mastless GNSS guided Motor Grader. He currently holds twelve patents around construction equipment automation. David is a graduate of Michigan Technological University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2011. He has been an IEEE Senior Member since 2022. Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his growing family and serving his community.
