Making the Most of TechX

Virtual conferences offer the same opportunities as in-person ones, so check out these tips to help you get ready. On the Airmeet platform, you can visit booths and meet with recruiters, network with other attendees in the lounge, and interact with today’s industry and academic thought leaders. Be prepared for a great time!

Technical Requirements:

  • The Airmeet platform works best on the Chrome Browser version 79 or higher.
  • Make sure that grant permissions for your camera and microphone
  • Do a pre-event systems check
  • Internet Speed Requirement Minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps and download speed of 10-12 Mbps
  • Disable VPN & Firewall and any ad blockers
  • Close all other applications/ tools accessing mic and camera in the background

How to participate during the live event:

  • Live Session Interaction: Quick Video
    • Indulge in Chats and post your questions in Q&A
    • React with Emojis
    • Participate in Polls and vote for
    • Raise Hand to join the live stage with hosts and speakers for a live interaction
  • Social Lounge Interaction:
    • Join table to interact with other participants
    • Use table chat to post your comments or questions
    • Send a individual or public invite using Invite to table option
  • Explore Booths: Quick Video
    • Meet Booth owners inside their booth at booth tables and post your queries on the booth chat box
    • Find exhibitor’s resources like marketing collaterals, social media plugins, and videos inside the exhibitor booth
    • Watch Booth Live Broadcasts whenever a booth owner starts it
    • Click on Register Interest to send your contact details to exhibitors

  • Attire:
    • business casual, business professional, and culturally appropriate dress. Many HKN Chapters wear their Chapter Polo or Chapter Shirts. 
    • Dress for Saturday may include Business Professional for the recruitment fair at your discretion.
    • SLC 2023 T-shirts will be distributed Friday at registration.
    • Business casual: suits, dress slacks, khakis, dresses, collared shirts, dress shoes and casual shoes.
    • Business professional: Suits, dress slacks, sport coats, blazers, dress shirts and ties, skirts and blouses, sweaters, dress shoes, and culturally appropriate dress.
  • Some workshops may require you to have your laptop.
  • Average temperatues in Texas, low of 53F (12C) and a high of 71F (22C), dress accordingly.
